It is a youth outreach initiative established in 2019 by the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs to connect geographically diverse young people with experts to learn about current international security challenges, the work of the United Nations and how to actively participate.

PLURAL+ Youth Video Festival on Migration, Diversity and Social Inclusion

2020

PLURAL+ Youth Video Festival is a joint initiative of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) that invites the world’s youth to submit original and creative videos focusing on the themes of migration, diversity and social inclusion. By supporting the distribution of youth-produced media, PLURAL+ recognizes youth as powerful agents of positive social change in a world often characterized by intolerance, and cultural and religious divisions.

75 Words for Disarmament Youth Challenge

2020

The “75 Words for Disarmament Youth Challenge” invites young people around the world to express what disarmament means to them and their communities in 75 words. The challenge provides an opportunity to think about disarmament not as an abstract concept, but as a practical means to help prevent armed conflict and promote peace and security.

Global Consensus Statement on Youth-led Accountability,

2019

The statement calls for funding and support for youth-led and youth-initiated mechanisms to hold decision makers to account for commitments first adopted in 1994 in Nairobi.

Digital Skills for Jobs Campaign

2020

Launched by partners of the Global Initiative on Decent Jobs for Youth, and led by ITU and ILO, the Digital Skills for Jobs Campaign recognizes that investing in youth by developing their digital skills is a win-win strategy: It addresses the skills gap by increasing young people's employability, creating quality jobs, and sparking innovation across all sectors in the digital economy.

Eval4Action campaign

The Decade of EVALUATION for Action, also known as the Eval4Action campaign, calls upon all actors, everywhere to accelerate the delivery of Sustainable Development Goals, by advocating for stronger evaluation capacities and
evidence-based policies.

Mobilising the global movement #ForYouthRights

2019

Between 5-7 November 2019, the European Youth Forum (YFJ), the International Coordination Meeting of Youth Organisations (ICMYO), and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) co-organised the event “Mobilising the global youth movement #ForYouthRights”.

#Youth4Climate Live Series

2020

The #Youth4ClimateLive Series, hosted by the Italian Ministry for the Environment, Land and Sea, in collaboration with Connect4Climate – World Bank Group and the Office of the UN Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth, was an interactive virtual series of events conceived to build momentum toward the 2021 Youth4Climate: Driving Ambition event in Milan, Pre-COP26, and COP26.
